WETLANDS

Wetlands are transitional areas between upland and aquatic systems, i.e. where the land meets the water.  Our coastal wetlands provide a number of benefits.  They serve as a nursery ground and habitat for our fisheries (crabs, shrimp, oysters);  they stabilize our shoreline from coastal storms, they absorb nutrients, sediments and pollutants from runoff, and even serve as groundwater recharge areas.  Additionally, our coastal wetlands provide recreational opportunities including boating and birding.

EcoSolutions works with our clients to to identify and delineate our coastal wetlands, minimize impacts and provide restoration and conservation options.

Services Offered:

  • Wetland Identification and Delineation
  • Wetland Functional Asssessment
  • Wetland Mitigation (Restoration and Conservation options)
